Widening and elongating the court will have the exact opposite effect of what you intended. One of the main reasons why scores have gone up so much recently, is teams are so much better at spacing the floor than they ever have which leads to more open shots. If you widen and lengthen the court all one is doing is making it more difficult to defend. Scores will continue to rise bc there will be more open 3's and easier dunks.
Raising the hoop is interesting, but do you really want to inhibit the thing that most people see as the highlight of the sport -- wonderous dunks?
