Theories don't win games but ...
UCLA, despite being a No. 2, will be the underdog to LSU,
a No. 3.
In general, independent arena fans root for underdogs. There's that,
plus LSU had their shining moment already. Plus Mulkey is being
scrutinized by a Washington Post reporter; plus, for some reason
Van Lith is/was in Mulkey's dog house.
Angel Reese is no angel ... although she did send congratulations
to Caitlin Clark. The Bruins are not a roughhouse gang, although
Osborne was assertive last night.
Betts comes from Centennial, the town next to mine, and it's not
exactly inner city.
Rice, who seemed to become a superstar vs. Creighton, is from
Maryland - maybe she'll have a fan club. (Reese is also from MD.)
Jaquez is my dream girl. She runs the court just like her brother.
I don't know what to say about Jones. Maybe she'll get hot. I wish
she would stick to quality passes and leave it at that.
I just hope we don't get pushed around.
