in your last paragraph. To be good at anything, you have to have a good imagination and be creative and have the ability to translate that creativity into physical changes or corrections to the muscle memory you have already created. There is a lot to the mental side of the game that many players never understand or develop. But it comes in very useful when you are on your own and practicing what ever skill you are trying to develop.

And speaking of art, I've taken up abstract art painting using some of the many acrylic paint pouring techniques. It's really enjoyable and I'm amazed at the beauty of the color combinations and abstract images that can be created. I got into this about a year ago and have so far done around 35 paintings on various size canvas pieces. I'm not an art critic but most who see them tell me they are pretty good. I don't intend to sell any though, mostly I'll give them to my daughters and grandchildren. But one lawyer friend of mine, saw one of them he really liked and offered me a pretty good sum for it. But I had already promised that one to one of my daughters. I use a lot of Southwest colors and they are my favorites. I've always been interested in Southwest art and that done by many Navajo artists. Many of my sweatshirts now look like I've been in paintball fights with them on.
