(1) She is not even close in athleticism to an average HS male athlete. (2) She wouldn't be able to guard anyone. (3) With a quick guard on her, she would have trouble getting that 3 point shot off. (4) She wouldn't be able to penetrate and score those soft layups like she does in women's competition.
The athleticism and strength of women's basketball players and teams is getting better but isn't close to that of men's teams. The men are bigger, much more athletic and much stronger than the women and that would make it extremely difficult for women's teams to compete even with a good men's HS basketball team, IMO.
And this is coming from a guy who has 4 daughters, 11 granddaughters and 8 great granddaughters. But all of that being said, I did really enjoy watching the young ladies perform in their NCAA tournament, and particularly Caitlin. They certainly have skills but just not the size, strength or athleticism of young male athletes. That's the way I see it.
