You make two points.

1. Fans want to see players develop. The rating seem to disagree. People would prefer to see their team win above all else. The portal has allowed teams to plug holes. The ratings are through the roof in all college sports.

2. You may want them to understand the came of an education but you’re spitting in the wind. It’s an inconsequential number that are there for an education. Players at Power 4 schools care about getting to the league. It’s a small percentage that care about the educational component. If it were otherwise the Ivys would be team teaming with prospects. Hell, we even see kids transferring out of Stanford, Yale, Penn and Harvard. My father would have kicked my azz if I said, I’m leaving Harvard to play basketball at state U.

The people who should care about this are the Unversities, but the courts have basically told them the athletes are free agents and you can’t do anything about it. I guess they could start saying you don’t meet the academic entrance requirements, but that’s not gonna happen.
