For years the hoops path has not allowed bigs to play like this. It is t just “talent”; it’s how teams and leagues develop talent.
I’ve said this before, but hoop needs academies a la soccer in Europe. I think the NBA killing the Ignite is a bad thing. They should have expanded it down multiple years. Maybe OTE and others fill that role. Each NBA franchise should field an academy where they develop talent at the U12-13 level. You can cut and add players throughout the developmental process.
