While the correlation isn't quite as high, making 2-point shots gives one almost the same results:
All 16 teams that shot league-average or better on 3s won at least 46 games
15/16 teams that shot league-average or better on 2s won at least 46 games
All but three teams that shot below league-average on 3s finished below .500
All but three teams that shot below league-average on 2s finished below .500
Conclusion: Making shots = winning
