As I said, I view this team as maybe not (yet) having the best of the best in individual talent but being very, very good at EVERY position and extremely deep/ That much talent means you can substitute without losing very much. (A bit of continuity as opposed to a team that plays only 5 guys plus a couple subs but you gain a lot in energy and explosiveness.) I think Cronin is going to try it and they don't lose that much quality going from #1 to #2 at most positions.
I expect Dylan to play a lot of minutes but given the guys they have, they will have others with the potential to play the point well - and given Perry's a freshman, their quality at the point should improve as the season goes along.
Center is the big difference. Not necessarily talent or potential but given the centers' sizes and weights, subbing someone in at center will bring a change as to what we can do and how we can do it. Obviously if we can go small it would be easier to accomplish that but that depends on the personnel we're facing each game, whether we can do that or not. If Mara makes that big step forward we can play him but not in the same style I don't think.
But you play your strengths and the quality of our depth on this team is a serious strength, one very few can match.
It will play out a bit differently when we get to the tournament. Longer breaks during games - commercials - and teams generally shorten their lineups for the tournament. But yes, I see they working on pressing and running more than they have been able to do.
