Was reading a newly published article on this year's crop of transfer players. Lest we get too excited about our incoming transfers, it's worth keeping in mind that none of our transfers was even among the top 50 transfers this off-season. Indiana (3), Washington, Illinois, Michigan (3), USC (2), Ohio State (2), and Oregon are all bringing in transfers rated higher than our highest rated transfer, Kobe Johnson (number in parentheses indicates the total number of transfers rated higher than Johnson).

This really shouldn't be *that* surprising given that Cronin has yet to truly leverage UCLA's recruiting prowess and resources. But it does put in perspective that our incoming transfer class is not the stellar, instant-impact group that many here are counting on.
