Wow, you've really outdone yourself. You've had moments of being a jerk to others, but this time you've gone into full a$$hole mode.
I really shouldn't engage someone being such a JERK on here, but what the heck, there's nothing of interest going on in the Olympics right now.
First of all, I'm not "a casual" (as stupid an expression/supposed insult as I've seen in quite a while). I've been an avid UCLA fan probably since you were still in diapers, or maybe before you were even born. I watch every single UCLA Football game, though I haven't gone in a few years because the Rose Bowl seating is difficult for me. On the other hand, in November I will begin my FORTY-NINTH season attending UCLA Basketball games. That's 12 years in the student section (long story), and season tickets ever since. I RARELY miss a game. How about you, condescending smart-ass? When is the last time YOU attended any UCLA home games?
Just because I don't memorize player names beyond the obvious stars, doesn't mean I'm a "casual" observer. I don't need to remember who played second-string inside linebacker in 1983 or whatever to make me a good (i.e. non-"casual") fan.
As for basketball, I've made it very clear on this board that, despite your attempts to convince me I should, I don't like or follow the NBA. (It's actually pretty damned funny to see you go apoplectic at the very notion of someone not liking or even preferring the NBA.) Further, ever since the Olympics dropped its amateur rules and the teams are filled with NBA and other professional players, I stopped watching basketball at the Olympics. In fact, I'm not a big fan of most team sports at the Olympics, with the exception of indoor Volleyball and maybe a bit of Water Polo. I'll watch individual matches of Table Tennis, for example, but skip the "team" event (which is just the individuals playing again, with their scores being compiled as teams).
Regarding Jrue, he was a terrific Bruin player. As with all other UCLA players that go to the NBA, I *might* have watched a game or two his rookie season to see how he was fitting in at the NBA level, but that's it.
So you can take your snotty attitude and stupid use of "a casual" as a supposed insult and shove it.
