starter. Less that 1% steals and 7% rebounds per possession. Defensive Box Plus Minus is negative every season he's played. He's a shoot-only guard. Barely one assist per game.
In comparison, Mack, the guy everyone seems to want to throw away, averaged over 3% steals (led the team) and 8% rebounds (#3 behind Bona and Laz) per possession last season, 1.6 assists per game (#3 again, his total just 1 behind Laz), and a DBPM of 2.4 was second only to Bona among players getting more than 10 minutes per game. And he was playing hurt most of the season.
Plus, he only played 24 games last year and 13 the year before. And he's only started 13 games in his entire career (3 years).
Nothing about Harris suggests starter. But he can be a great instant-offense off the bench kind of player. The guy Jake Kyman was supposed to be. And someone the Bruins will likely need off the bench.
Just not a starter.
