I agree that Mack played D like a freshman last season … but would not count him out just yet … he has several intangibles that cannot be taught … he is a warrior (played hurt most of last season and deteriorated as the season wore on) he plays with heart, passion and speed and may have developed quite a bit in the off season as he healed. What I have learned, by observation and a little bit of coaching is never count a kid with determination and heart out. I am looking forward to his sophomore (hopefully injury free) year. I guess I’ll be in the give him a chance category. He could be the engine who makes this team go.
