I went to the exhibition yesterday but was also keeping an eye on the Dodger game on my phone, so I might have missed a few details. Here’s my take:
Transfers vs. Returners: The transfers outperformed our returning players. As much as I like Dylan, I could see a scenario where he doesn’t start.
Dylan's Role: He reminded me of his form from early last season, looking a bit unsure. With more scoring threats on the team, he needs to assert himself and take more shots.
Kobe's Game: Defensively, Kobe’s a standout, a true glue guy and team leader. I wouldn’t expect much offense from him, though.
Clark’s Performance: Clark was fantastic! He played within the flow and didn’t force anything, which was my biggest concern. He left a great impression.
Dailey Jr.: Love his game—he’ll be valuable for us. But on the flip side, he made mistakes that Cronin wasn’t happy with, especially on missed assignments. His potential is undeniable.
Biladeou’s Readiness: He’s as good as the buzz suggests. Physically, he looked game-ready. If he keeps up this level against tougher competition, he’ll be All-B1G.
Mara’s Late Minutes: Mara looked solid, though this was against weaker opponents.
Concerns with Kyle III: I’m a bit worried. He seemed undersized for the 5 and didn’t stand out, even against less challenging competition. Aday’s development here will be crucial.
Perry: He’s solid and will definitely play. I'm still impressed.
Bazz and Lazar: Not much change from last year.
