least favorable - we committed 22 turnovers (missing Kiki Rice but it was a lot more than that)

most favorable - Louisville shot 21% from three point range

Most notable pronunciation thing - announcer is one of those guys who pronounces the name of the school as "You-See-Lay" - really hard for me to avoid hearing that once I recognize it.

Reaction- my goodness for most of this game we played like this was our first game of the year (and we were missing our starting PG)....

Jaquez did everything BUT hit some shots. Betts was really good. Won't be too many in the country who can deal with her. The Finnish Freshman, Aarnisalo, forced into a much bigger role by Rice's absence, wound up hitting 4 of 8 shots for 8 points, registering 4 assists and 6 TOs.

Gardiner and Barker made their presence felt for sure with 8 points and 7 RBs and 15 points and 7 RBs respectively,

Let's see where we are by mid-season when we ought to have our full complement of players back on the court.

Note my biggest hope and greatest disappointment of the offseason was hoping we might land Kiki Iriafen, the transfer from Stanford - who chose to go to SC instead. She had 22 points and 13 rebounds for SC today (alongside Watkins' 27 and 10. That one-two punch will be the best in the country. We have to hope to find a way for our overall quality and depth to out-weigh that in the end.
