I'm hoping that the transfers can ignite the offense and play defense the we all know Coach Cronin can coach it, and that we spread out the minutes a lot and go 10 deep with everyone playing well on both sides of the ball.
What I expect is that by mid december, we'll be down to a 7-8 man rotation, and scoring in the mid-60's at best.
I really don't want to be right about that, because it means that we probably are stuck with that same hard ceiling of the sweet 16 which many UCLA Coaches have been unable to overcome (yes, we had the covid FF run, and Lav made an Elite 8, but it's easy to see those as outliers where we got really lucky to get as far as we did - last second shot to beat Xavier, and OT v Michigan St/Bama), and a floor of last year's sub .500 finish.
To have a chance at getting past the sweet 16, we need an offense which can regularly get to 80 AND a lock down defense. We shall see - Go Bruins!
