at the team's "front lines" not the entire roster. Teams with big front lines are going to be a load for a Bruin team that only has 2 players at 6'9 who get major minutes. And when foul trouble comes for one or both of them, it will get even tougher in the paint. All I'm saying is that many of the BIG teams have 3 to 5 bigs to use (though some may not be high impact players) where as the Bruins only have basically 2 plus little used Mara (who isn't quite ready yet). Now if Mara gets stronger and more confident and and can get more playing time, that will be a big plus for the Bruins.
I appreciate you taking the time to provide another way of looking at the BIG teams ranking in "overall" average size. Those are additional good data points regarding a given team's makeup. Another interesting thing would be the average weight of a team--or their front line players. Some may average out as skinny/light weight and some weigh in like a football team. That would point to the physical potential of a team. My hope is that Mara eventually gets up over 260-270 (another 20-30 lbs) and becomes a monster in the paint.
