our offensive number improvements are all driven by the pressure and turnovers, the halfcourt offense is still about as bad as last year (and that's where all of our 3pt shots are, and why that number is pretty much the same as last year).

Halfcourt should improve as the players get more comfortable playing with each other, but with the emphasis on avoiding turnovers, we don't drive and dish for easy layups/dunks in the halfcourt like other teams, and our 3pt shotmaking isn't there yet.

good teams which can force us into the halfcourt and take care of the ball are still better than us.

for now. But when we're forced into the halfcourt, the offense stagnates again, and we end up with massive scoring droughts. Even BU was able to do that to us down 40% of their starters in the second half, but with the fast break lead we built in the first half, we still won comfortably, but without that? It would have been one of those grinders that we easily could have lost.

the press will beat the lesser teams, but to beat the better teams, the halfcourt offense needs to get FAR better (and we can't let up on the Press at all, as Cronin has done the past few years, mothballing it for the most part after December).
