-impressive win albeit against a lousy mid major. But we put our boot on their neck and did not let up.
-we are going to get beaten up when we get into the Big season--Mara is an evolving stick who will get pushed around at least this year/Kyle is active but too small and needs time to adjust to the big league. I guess Devin Williams is just not ready because we badly need another big.
-I like Skyy Clark's calm. Hustles his butt off on defense and plays like the elder statesman he is.
-Trent Perry will be a star sooner rather than later. He will not be showcased in Cronin's system but it does not matter.
-Eric Dailey is getting better every week. He will be a ton for opposing teams to handle by mid season.
-What's the story with D. Williams, B. Williams and Freeney--are they being redshirted?
-Our defense and depth will keep us in games. 4 very good guards, and a fifth (Harris) who seems like he's starting to get his sea legs. I think we're faster/quicker than most teams in the Big.
-Our first big test is at Eugene on Dec 8. The Quackers have a very good starting lineup but no real depth, and Nate Bittle seems like he's taken a big jump, and is a nice 1-2 combo with Shelstad. For some reason, Kwame Evans is only getting minimal minutes. If I'm Cronin, I press Shelstad the entire game and try to wear them down with bodies.
-Is Lazar our 9th or 10th man now? He will take everything in stride like the good citizen he is but I feel bad for him.
