Brief comments,
If Jones goes 5-5 from 3, we're going to be hard to beat :-) Seems like Londyn kinda went cold down the stretch last season, and that biased my opinion of her. She led the team in 3 pt shooting last season, and hopefully with the new mask, she's right back on track. My bad.
Betts and Barker are awesome on D. Looked to me like most times SoCaro got into the paint they were throwing up prayers - and it was awesome that B&B accomplished that without getting into foul trouble. And, at both ends of the floor, their rebound stats don't tell the full story - they're both great at keeping the ball alive.
Betts had to play 37 minutes. There will be a lot of games where we won't need her to play that much. Hopefully she gets a lot of rest as the season progresses and Cori finds a way to rest her, while not changing the O and D schemes. She played 36 vs. Louisville, fair enough. But, she played 30 vs. Colgate. Maybe we can cut her minutes down in blowouts.
Iirc, Dugolic was worn down last season, she looks a lot more lively now.
The team's ball movement is great.
Barker gives us a physicality we've lacked in the past, Gardiner has great size, and with healthy Dugolic + Lauren? Oh, and Gabby, We are going to be formidable inside. And, if we can get the Freshmen in the mix ... I mean sheesh, there's ony so many minutes. I'm just babbling saying what everyone knows. So, I won't list the names of our awesome guards.
