I agree. A team doesn't need a great center to be successful.

A team does, however, need five "ballplayers" out there doing their roll and contributing to the whole. If a team has an "empty jersey" out there, a weak point, that's where the opponent will exploit and unravel their opponent. Mara and Kyle aren't exactly "empty jerseys," but they are woefully inadequate right now in terms of effectiveness and doing their parts. Right now Cronin's most effective lineup, IMO, is Bilodeau, Dailey, and Johnson in the front court with Andrews and Clark in the backcourt, and Mack and Stefanovic coming off the bench. Maybe that group can effectively compete with the better teams, but the B1G is full of big frontlines so that's why I think folks are pointing to Kyle and Mara as keys for the Bruins' successful future. You're right, of course, that the Bruins have to improve on many fronts, but I think the Bruins' post play is one of the key elements.
