Yes, DA is on a knife’s edge as to the future allocation of his playing mins.

But, the dilemma is the concern that UCLA may not have a single credible PBH (primary ball handler). I haven’t missed a minute all season, and if it turns out that DA has lost that PBH mantle there’s an arguable PBH vacuum behind him.

From everything I’ve seen/heard/read, CMC has not pointed to any of our other guards capable of running a sub-par O as PBH. Certainly not a playground helter skelter baller like Mack, right thru all the others, including Skyy, Perry (way too inexperienced), et al.

The problem, other than DA’s confidence gauge treading on E, is that CMC’s half court O sets are like weaing a Denver boot for the PBH, such that if we’re not hitting perimeter J’s or deep isos, we’re fair game for almost any of the Dance teams.

Coming into this game, our elite D (#4 in Div 1) has carried us. On the deep other end, we’re a pedestrian #110 in O ~~~ and that’s with a # 199 strength of schedule.

Maybe I should call it a Catch 2 in recognition of DA’s uni #…
