Do the weave thirty feet from the hoop to run the shot clock down. Set a pointless pick-and-roll that rarely creates a scoring opportunity because the picker doesn' get open and he isn't an in-the-paint threat anyway, and the ball handler is intimidated from pulling up and shooting off the dribble even when he is momentarily open curling around the pick. It looks like even the players have no confidence in the pick-and-roll and are just going through the motion to not incur Cronin's wrath. God forbid anyone takes the initiative to shoot off a dribble. Cronin likes small ball -- 2 guards + 2 wings + 1 PF. He has never had a true five (>6'9") starter. His teams are never an offensive threat in the paint, and opponents exploit that. At this point, I am not hopeful of seeing a change.
