keyed on and their defense on him with a combination of doubles, etc by one or two of the two Rutgers Bigs (both 6'10 and 270 lb centers and 6'10 Bailey) worked. Didn't look like he could get a decent look the way they were in his face and bodying up on him. It appeared to be a very physical defensive key on him and it certainly worked. And with no other legitimate hard hitting players who can create their own shot (sometime Mack is the only one) in whatever offense the Bruins were trying to run, things didn't turn out well.
It may only get worse as two teams, significantly better than Rutgers, are coming to Pauley this Friday and Monday (Iowa and Wisconsin) and they are big, physical and can score a lot of points(Iowa 89.9ppg, Wisc 83ppg).
Based on how things seem to be developing, I've completely revised my expectations to a more realistic level for this Bruin team. A lot easier on my BP that way.
