When viewing Mara from a critical perspective, it's easy to focus on his shortcomings. They can stand out, particularly when he's overpowered in physical matchups. However, shifting to a positive perspective highlights his strengths. You notice how he alters shots, rebounds effectively, and moves the ball well with his passing.
Yes, he sometimes gets pushed off the block, but when I compare that to Bilodeau, the difference isn't as stark. Bilodeau also gets backed down just as easily. Some might argue that we need TB on the floor for his offensive contributions, but having Mara in the game doesn’t necessarily mean TB has to sit. In fact, I’d love to see Dailey, Bilodeau, and Mara all on the court together. Many other teams in the conference are taking that approach. And if one or two players get into foul trouble, you can always revert to the current rotation.
