In 4 of their 5 losses, they were in the games late in the game but couldn't pull it out. The only game they got smashed was at Purdue 104 to 68. All the others were close and could have gone either way. OT loss at Iowa, 3 point loss at Maryland, 3 point loss to Rutgers at home, and the 5 point loss to USC last night when there was a 1 point difference in the score with around 40 seconds left in the game. USC won with closing free throws. So I wouldn't conclude that they imploded, just some bad luck and a few missed shots at closing time. Other than the Purdue game, they were in a position late in the games to easily have won any or all of those games. But they didn't.
