Four losses, three were on the road and one at home with very little rest against a superior team that overpowered us in the paint.
Two wins were at home and against teams that weren't built to overpower us in the paint.
I'm hopeful and sure hope you're correct, but it's still January and there's a LONG way yet to go.
Kyle was terrific against Iowa (and saving the game vs Wisconsin in the last 30 seconds) and Mara was outstanding against Wisconsin. Are they actually ready to stand up to the conference's better and tougher post players?
Andrews was back in our last two games. Is he back for good the rest of the season?
Mack had a terrific outing in our last game, playing more under control. and he flying finishes were connecting. Has he taken that step up to make it his norm going forward?
Our FT shooting still isn't great but it was significantly better when it counted most against Wisconsin. Are we now a 75% FT shooting team rather than one that can't connect for more than 69%?
Our turnovers were minimal against the Badgers. Will we play with that level of control from here on out (with no more than a couple games regressing)?
Wearing our hearts on our sleeves is what we do but we have learned not to get our hopes up too high too soon. Let's see if this is who we are now and if we can keep the energy level that high and play with. that level of consistency for 40 full minutes. We saw it in our last game, but too often this season it hasn't been the case - late against Oregon, so many other times our last ten minutes not our best.
Fingers crossed as we hit the road against two old rivals who are looking better all the time
