this year taking down Rutgers at MSG today(last time I saw them was early Dec), I can see why they appear to be the best team in the conference. At 17-2 (8-0 in conference) and currently in a 12 game winning streak, they are looking really good. Very big and physical and an excellent rebounding team averaging 44 boards to opponents 34. Their bigs, who all get over 16 minutes a game, are athletic and very physical and go 7'-245, 6'11-245, 6/11-240, 6'9-245, and 6'7-217. Not a skinny one in the bunch. And all move very well for their size.
Their guards are solid too but not the best in the conference, IMO. Two of them shoots 40%+ from beyond the arc but overall, the team only averages 28% from beyond the arc. Very good FT shooting team though at 81%. Overall, they average near 82 PPG while holding opponents to 68. Strange thing, they have only one player in double figures(6'4 guard at near 14 ppg) but 6 other players averaging between 8 and 9 points a game. Very balanced scoring and move really well.
It will be interesting to see how the Bruins handle them on Feb 4 when they come to Pauley. The Bruins may have to put their pads on for this one :-)
