In my experience, the only thing I have noticed is that the committee has rewarded good wins more than punished bad losses.
Some "experts" seem to think record in the first two Quads is important.
But basically seeding is decided by a vote of 10 people. Since the makeup of the committee changes from year to year, there is no guarantee that the criteria will be weighted the same way from year to year.
At this point, the two guys who are paid to work on this full time, Lunardi and Palm, both have us a #7. Mike DeCourcy, who does it for FOX has us a #8.
Since these guys work on this full time, they probably have a better handle on it than the amateurs.
Bottom line is, "Just win, Baby!"
