Ticket seat etiqutte & buying strategy

Fellow Bruin brothers n sisters. Would like your input pls. Really wanna go to the game tonight but might go by myself.

1) obv to save money, looking to buy seats in the nosebleeds then 2nd half move to an empty seat in the lower bowl. do you frown on this behavior? I've been met with nasty, hostile attitudes in the past by people saying those are not your seats. I'm like wtf.. if I'm not bothering you get tf outta my face. Am I in the wrong?

2) if I wanna spend a lil more to get a single tix in the lower bowl on stubhub/seatgeek, is it better to wait closer to tipoff when sellers get nervous? the only issue is I have but it at least a couple hours beforehand b/c it's taken 45mins to an hour sometimes for the ticket to be issued to me
