he really impressed me last night! He was physical, he was really energetic, he had a solid handle on the ball and he worked the offense. His shooting in the past, seems to me, was a nice bonus but I rarely felt really secure when he was on the court. Last night he was really solid.
Andrews and Clark are the team's primary guards. Mack is a whole different thing - when he's in there he mostly is there to energize and jump start the offense (although he too played really solidly within the team concept last night 'cept for going a bit loose that one possession where it gave MSU a turnover and a breakaway two points). But if Perry can play as solidly as he did last night, he can give Andrews and Clark a blow for a few minutes at a time once or twice a half.
I hear Cronin saying the shooting will come around but the guys have to take care of the ball and play solid, hard-nosed defense and I thought Perry showed a nice step forward in that regard last night
