… was a great play by Bilodeau and the other by Daily. In both cases, our guys were comlpetely set and motionless, outside of the arc. In both caees. idiot refs who seem loathe to call a charge this year, called them blocking.
How did this impact the comeback?
First: they got 4 points on 4 FT’s on these phantom blocks
Second: these two fouls hastened the 80% FT shooting Spartans into the bonus and double-bonus.
Third: These two fouls ultimately cost minutes for both Bilodeau and Daily, arguably our best two scorers, during our 2nd half drought.
And lastly, it was a start to MSU’s comeback, giving them a bit of momentum on which to hang their finish.
For now, I’ll ignore some of the other bad reffing in the 2nd half (after going a good, hands-off job in the first half) . These items I described are enough. Rightfully, Karma handed us the game that should not have been that close.
