1 of my biggest pet peeves is refs calling fouls they can't see

foul called on an MSU big when he tied up a Duck on a rebound. Ref was totally blocked, standing behind the MSU player. Could not possibly have seen a foul on that play but called it anyway in favor of the home team

Izzo is going to get kicked out of this game. Already has one T, had to be restrained after the play above, now as I am writing this another air foul called against MSU - at least UO players are missing the FTs

There are a lot of times it's a matter of perspective. There was one in our game where they called a Blok on Tyler and several thought it was a charge. The replay showed Tyler was in fact set when the collision occurred. But it was so close, I can understand the ref thinking he didn't get there in time. So close - that sort of mistake is understandable.

But when you didn't have a clear view and call it anyway - like the first two fouls called against our women's team in our last game - OSU - where there was no contact at all on the plays. The refs were trailing the plays and couldn't see clearly. "It looked like..." is NEVER an excuse for blowing the whistle when you could not possibly have seen whether there was actually any contact at all

end of rant
