Hard to upset a streaking team on their home court, when UCLA's D is ascendant on both ends.
9 TOs forced to only 1 coughed up, is Fantasyland math. One aspect of our D that is becoming bigly apparent, is the joy our D guys are playing with as they turnover the Opposition O to death, slowly sucking the confidence out of them. A real momentum builder when our O flattens out.
A 13 point lead, despite our top scorer struggling at 2-6 (picked up by Skyy and Kobe shooting lights out at 5-6 EACH!
Bilo struggling with alligator arms in the 1H, and I sure as hell don't expect that to continue. And, Mack seals the deal with big points off the bench as Penn St. is where they are this season (albeit playing shorthanded in this one) with vanilla D.
On the downside, UCLA continues to cede the boards (12 vs 14) as PS pounds the paint on both ends (which has aided our transition game). OTOH, nice to see III getting busy on both ends. Would like to see DA make a guest shot in this game as he seems to be detached again on both ends (cramping yet again?).
Just come out of this with no injuries and nurse our lead to get ready for the B10 road, where we have to prove ourselves.
GO BRUINS!
