she - like Mara on the men's team - needs to make some quicker moves. Last night on a key possession she got the pass and had one-on-one defense. An immediate spin around to her left would have given her a direct easy layup. But she hesitated a bit and spun to her right - and right into I think it was Watkins - just about handed her the ball. So to your prescription I would add recognize (including anticipate, look for) coverage that leaves you open for an immediate move directly to the hoop - closest path. Practice/train to take what is there right away and not - as you were say8ing - try to make everything work by making a move or two before pulling the trigger.
And if they do converge, people have to have moved to be open and she has to trigger the outlet rather than trying to force things with a step back, falling away jump shot attempt
