I'm a little surprised his steal numbers are that low. And he does sometimes get beat off the dribble by opposing guards who end up shooting a layup with DA behind them. However, he does play superb positional defense. He's so quick that he, maybe better than anyone on our team (except Kobe?), is able to stay in front of opponents' guards who are trying to get off a shot, or juke and drive or pass. When he's doing that, he's often got his arms in constant motion, making it difficult for the opponent to make the pass or shot they want to. I'd guess that's the part of DA's defense that Cronin really likes about him.
