Woman"s hoops -- matchup factor or decline?

I wonder if Usc just has the ideal matchup factor vs. the Bruins or have they really more improved overall (as some claim)... The Trojans have struggled more against a number of Big Ten Opponents (compared to UCLA) and outright they just couldn't beat Iowa (which we did in a close one). I haven't watched enough games in detail to determine which is the greater effect.
