and figuring out their angle. Like MH said, Wiscy has a bunch of guys that are older and have been there since the Truman administration. That's going to be the play for some coaches. And, as the emphasis moves to bringing in experienced players, the competition for incoming freshmen should lighten up. The moneyball play could very well be bringing in good freshmen - better than you could get prior to Portalmania, and developing a team. I like that because the Freshmen should cost less $$ than proven transfers, and you don't start paying until they start performing. And, no one knows their value better than you, who sees them everyday. Shouldn't get outbid. For instance, I'd bet we're paying a small chunk to Harris, bless his heart.
Will be super interesting to see who comes back next year. Does anyone swoop on any of our players? And, which of our players gets the Felix Unger come home one day to packed bags treatment?
