While we could get sent to any regional, that only matters if we win the first two games. Beating a #2 or #3 seed would be difficult. Based on the last three years, only one #5-#7 west coast team was in the West regional.
But the NCAA tries to keep teams as geographically close as possible for the first and second rounds. Only a few west coast teams got sent to midwestern or eastern sites: #7 WSU in 2024, #5 San Diego St in 2023 and #5 San Diego St and #7 USC in 2022.
So the chances of playing in Denver or Seattle for the first rounds are good, but playing in the West regional in San Francisco isn't likely, based on past NCAA placements and winning two games.
