Right now Cronin is the UCLA coach and Pitino is at St. John's. If that's to change it will happen in due coarse. I don't think, however, Pitino will ever coach at UCLA - was never going to or never will happen. As much as I would like to see Pitino in Westwood, I think he has way too much baggage for UCLA - even if he would be a good fit for Los Angeles. I think he's probably happy in NYC, but then again what do I know?
