can be a nightmare even without the addition of cultural, generational, and technical lexicons. Acronyms and excessive abbreviations can just be a result of grammatical laziness. Whatever it is, over usage of these handy shortcuts can often lead to bad communication skills. In other words (or IOW), sometimes no one knows what the heck your talking about if you indulge in these practices.
