I am hoping Cronin told Dylan, "You can keep your scholarship and graduate from UCLA, but we are not renewing your NIL package, since we need the money to sign an elite PG in the portal."
I imagine Cronin only does this if he is pretty sure the elite PG is coming.
I don't know if any of this happened, but it wouldn't shock me.
