Yes, that's what I said, Smith had to leave the inbounder.
You asked why they didn't guard the inbounder and I explained that they did but the man guarding him, Smith, had to rotate out. And, yes, that action happened before the ball was inbounded, when a screen was set and a man got free.
Technically, someone should have then rotated over to the inbounder, but it was a bang-bang play and there wasn't time.
