I understand the worries about another Don Harris, and there are similarities and differences. In my last roster preview, I wrote:
"Some things concern me about Harris:
-He was LMU's leading scorer, and yet he only started 13 games.
-He attemped 261 shots and only had 25 assists.
-He had 46 turnovers to go with those 25 assists.
------------------
-Brown was the leading scorer and started virtually every game for the Roos.
-He took 369 shots and only had 36 assists.
-Brown had 57 turnovers to go with those 36 assists.
Brown plays more a position of need than Harris did. We need rebounding help.
Harris averaged 3.3 rebounds in 29 minutes. Brown averaged 7.4 rebounds in 33 minutes.
The one real positive for me about Brown is Oregon, USC, Arizona, and TCU were interested. Those are all programs with coaches who are very good at talent evaluation. If Dana Altman wanted him, I am happy to get him.
