and that's all you can say good about UCLA tonight, That and that we will be a better team next year. Getting Leger-Walker back to team with Rice at guard with Aarnisalo no longer a freshman backing them up and hopefully fewer minutes for Jones, please.
Note how many of our shot attempts tonight were long - Jaquez over shot the hoop by a bunch on her three attempt and even her layups were pushed up 'way up high and wound up missing.
Two semifinals, both romps for the better teams. Will be rooting for UConn in the final just to break South Carolina's streak
Yes, Cori and staff can learn a lot from this game tape - players sagging off their man and allowing her to get a wide open shot on a pass back - all over the place. With our poor guard play, they were able to press on Rice and keep her from doing what she wanted and with our shooters off, we had only one answer but Betts' 26 wasn't enough against the trio of Bueckers, Fudd and Strong.
We'll be better next year and next year, when we get to this point, we won't have to try to pretend we've been here before. And given how our kids have shot all year, if that enables us to relax a bit, we'll be much, much better
We sure didn't play well tonight. UConn as Geno said played a fantastic game tonight and we couldn't match them. Only 3rd game we lost all year. Too bad.
Looking forward to next year and to seeing how our recruiting for the men's team turns out
