The Cougars really didn't haver the offense to beat Duke but they had the defense. And the luck with that missed free throw.
makes me hear again, a TV interview before a national championship game and the old coach, holding the microphone in both hands, asked how his team's chances of beating Arkansas for the title would be affected if their their star PG couldn't play and they had to go with a freshman instead, And the Coach said, "Well the young man played excellent defense and you must remember it is defense that wins championships."
Yes indeed it does. And that's why I thought all along that Houston was the one team that had a chance to beat Duke here. Don't know how many times they would come out on top of Duke if they played them 20 times but they won THIS time and that's all that matters!
