Saw us at #10 in an ESPN 'way too early ranking and at $21 in another. The difference in athleticism between us and this year's final two team is marked, however. I think we'll be better, should shoot well, but can we reach Cronin defensive standards without that much athleticism?

The experiment for Dailey to play the three seems unlikely to me - we'll see. I think Brown could be better than expected - lacking elite athleticism but seems to bring a high BB IQ to the job. But quickness quickness quickness - after Dent, not seeing very much. We will be able to go big or small but not really quick; should shoot well but will Boker translate to a post player?

Mick has done well with smaller posts - but in the Pac-12 not the Big 10 - and our post play wasn't impressive without Mara on the court last year. Still, imo if you're looking for a player that shows what Mick can do I would think Riley more than Jaime - the latter was just an all around brilliant player. Riley was, however, tough as nails and his jumper from about the FT line was very effective. Not sure we have the post filled with either a Mara as we were hoping he would become next year or a Riley as he was in the past. It's a weakness.
