Even before Dent's arrival he had taken UCLA off his list. Now it seems like he wouldn't come even if he had ever wanted to. Of Course Cronin detractors will say that players like him don't want to come to Cronin's UCLA. We don't know that, but it's an easy reach for those who want to find reasons to dislike Cronin.
Truth be told, recruits pick schools for a variety of reasons and the same is true for not wanting to come to any particular school. As hard as it may be for some to admit, not every southern California high school basketball player wants to come to UCLA.
For whatever reason(s) Burries doesn't want to go to UCLA. The reason may be the coach and the system he runs but it may also be for other reasons. We just don't know. Anyway, in this time of the transfer portal high school recruits are increasingly growing less significant.
