the bar for success is a winning season and making the tournament. But you can't win the tournament if you don't make the tournament.
And Cronin's 16 tournament wins puts him just outside the top-10 among active coaches. He took UCLA to the Final Four in 2021, just 5 years ago. Calipari hasn't been the FF in a decade. Rick Barnes hasn't been to the FF in over 20 years.
And don't recite any crap about Cronin winning with Alford's players. Alford couldn't win with his own players. That's why he was fired. Cronin winning with Alford's players, which isn't at all what he did, would be even more impressive than winning with his own players.
Cronin is also the youngest active coach to win 500 games. That's something hacks and charlatans just don't do. Of course, you've never won 500 college basketball games. You've never won even one. And you never will.
And of course, the coup de grace is you have no expectations for the UCLA basketball whatsoever. You're not a fan. You never post anything about any players. You never celebrate any victories. You never suffer in defeat. You didn't go to UCLA. You very likely could never have been accepted to UCLA.
It is sad that you can't be happy with who you are, but completely understandable. It's unfortunate that you've decided the way to make yourself feel better is lying about someone who is clearly much more successful in life than you are. The irony is that it only reinforces how sad and unhappy you really are.
I've tried to show you the error of your ways, to show you that repenting is the true path to happiness and success, but time after time, I can't seem to reach you. I just can't seem to stoop that low.
But don't worry. I won't give up. I'll keep trying, because even the lowest acerebral coprophage given to copious battological bavardage is still deserving of redemption.
