of course every team is a national championship contender before the season begins, but the players are also talking a lot about Jamar Brown, the transfer 5th year 3 point specialist wing. He could be a nice spacing piece for the offense. Also CMC is praising Jamerson a good deal. We are NOT hearing much of late about Freeny and B Williams though both add toughness at that wing spot that will feature Dailey. Re: Booker, from what I've heard and read this will be a developmental season. He's physically really talented but he's learning a bunch of new focuses and skills. Hopefully he will add a lot as he and Peoples will be vital spelling Jamerson who may lack the brilliance but fills the need for rebounding and paint defense which is pretty fundamental.
Fascinating season -
our women's team seems a really known commodity, having recruited to fill clear needs and has the pieces, the talent and the experience to actually hang a banner (UCLA, UConn and South Carolina - and, though Juju Watkins is out, SC will still have a ton of talent and will be very dangerous as well.
our men's team is - to quote some line from a movie - like a box of chocolates - no way we know how this is all going to play out since we really haven't yet seen these guys and this team playing good opposition so we really don't have any way to know what we're going to have and to be.
Really fun to anticipate the season ahead
