yet, fwiw, Close managed to beat out South Carolina for 2 international recruits.
Also, fwiw, the scuttlebutt was that 5'7" Fleary (undersized?) was a verbal to Close but then came back with a higher NIL ask. NIL that was likely already committed to the aforementioned international recruits.
Finally, the Sidwell connection was with Kiki and the former coach. It extended to Kendall Dudley but she went into portal. It was her mom (Sidwell's former coach) that posted some clueless comments on social media about accessing facilities after quitting the team.
